The Improve Your Photography In One Day Challenge

(Note: includes lunch and ticket entry to Sywell Classic Piston & Props)

The day will run at Sywell (Northamptonshire) from 11am-5pm, in partnership with Clifton Cameras, featuring an exclusive workshop and photo walk with Sony. The goal of the day is simple - for you to finish the day a better photographer than when you started.

Rather than a standard classroom workshop, the day will be structured around a series of challenges designed to expand your abilities and get you a set of results you never would have achieved otherwise. Imagine finishing the day knowing you’ve got the confidence, mindset & skills to attend any event and come away with a first class set of results.

Here’s how the day is going to run:

We start at 11am, close to the airfield, where we’ll set your challenge for the day and deliver a 90-minute accelerator session, designed to get you ready for the live shoot:

• Learn how to nail the shot in any situation, at any event
• Understand why your camera gear only gets you so far
• Experience how shooting other genres can improve your aviation photography
• Get the mindset you need to succeed in delivering photography results to a brief

Next up, we’ve got a workshop lunch with Sony & Clifton Cameras on hand to get your questions answered about the latest gear, and how to apply it to the shoot. Also a great chance for some photography networking!

We’ll then make the short transfer over to Sywell where the action and challenge begins, at the Classic Pistons & Props event. This event presents an amazing opportunity to push your photography skills across aviation, automobile and people, in an eclectic vintage vibe. The site recce begins with a guided photo walk with pro instructors. This will be the perfect heads up of the sights and sounds around us, ahead of you being cleared for your solo mission to capture the essence and action of the event. What an opportunity!

Armed with your challenge briefing you’ll then have a set time to achieve the shots in your own way. During this time, you’ll be trying new things, pushing your creativity and using your gear to its maximum potential. It’s also going to be a lot of fun! Get stuck? The day will then finish with a challenge debrief, consolidating the day’s learning and finishing at 1700!
