This July, there's no Tattoo.
No flightline. No four-ship breaking over Fairford while a thousand shutters fire away. The biggest weekend in your aviation photography calendar… gone. The kit stays in the bag. Those shots you were hoping to nail this year? Not this time. And for us aviation photographers, that stings.
If the jets won't come to Fairford, we'll bring Fairford to you.
The Centre of Aviation Photography (COAP) is hosting a free, live, 3-day workshop, broadcast live from Douglas Bader House, RIAT's very own HQ. In a world's first for the aviation photography community, COAP is bringing six of the biggest camera brands together to deliver exclusive workshops.
And the goal? A clear plan for the next 12 months, so you can make RIAT 2027 your best airshow ever. There may be no Fairford this year, but that doesn't mean we can't make the year ahead your best ever, so you're fully prepped for RIAT 2027.

And if you've been part of FRIAT in recent years, you'll have seen us in the big marquee in the FRIAT enclosure.

What our members say.
The training is world class. I have gone from being an 'ok' aviation photographer and 'decent' writer to having my photos and an article published in a magazine, all thanks to what I have learned with COAP Online.
Now, instead of making record shots I can turn my images into art and it is really satisfying to look at the before and after images and see just how far my skills have developed.
For years I have been trying to emulate some of the pictures I have seen online taken at the same airshow and failing. I thought it was down to my photography skill, in fact it was my editing skill, or lack of. Since joining COAP Online, my photos are starting to really come to life.
The wealth of teaching materials for photography and photo editing available to members are truly second to none. Equally important is the knowledge and the interaction of the COAP Online community.
Since becoming a member my photography and Lightroom skills have got so much better. The platform is a friendly, social, and safe environment to learn, hone and improve.
COAP Online is a fantastic community, full of aviation photographers supporting other aviation photographers. The online learning has introduced me to new techniques I'd never have come up with myself.
A few quick questions.
Is it really free?
Why are the brands doing this for free, and what's the catch?
Do I need pro gear or to be an expert?
I can't make it live, should I still register?
