Adobe AI Generative Fill

Following on from the Merge Meet regarding Adobe’s new leap in witchcraft technology Generative Fill, I thought I’d put up an example of what I found it can do.

I’ve been using Generative Fill for a couple of weeks now and thought I’d put it to the test the other day. This is a shot of Just Jane from the TLE photoshoot. It was a shot with the wing cropped. I extended out the canvas and pressed GF. It reproduced the missing part of the wing! Not exactly but pretty close. Very impressive stuff.

NOTE: When extending the canvas, make sure the ‘Content-Aware’ box is unticked or it automatically fills in the blank area with unwanted duplicate material.
